Halfway through December, a sudden realization.
Dwyer-Time strikes again! We’ve done no preparation.
Our first Fraser fir, L.E.D.s on the roof,
Santa Paws celebrates with a holiday “woof!”
New Years Eve to Christmas, many things in between,
It’s volume four of the Dispatch, for twenty-nineteen!
The great golden beast, so furry and fun.
Snarfing down pup-cups through year number one!
Milo, at the ripe age of one and a half,
Chasing his Kong and making us laugh.
A full year in our house, new additions out back:
A planter-box-pair, for Sarah’s gardening knack.
Nurturing greens and the next generation,
Six years in the field of elementary education!
Summer at last! No homework to grade.
To the OP Arboretum! Volunteers in the shade.
On the home stretch, toward her master’s degree,
One semester to commencement at UMKC!
The biennial Convention, held in KC this year,
Good times with good friends, from far and from near.
Web development and design…projects non-stop!
Several new goodies, in 2020 we’ll drop.
Among them, an adventure! With little Big Al.
CuBit Cutting, shooting videos at the equine corral.
Speak of the devil, Allie found a new friend!
A small pupper named Pearl, and Milo’s godsend.
Megan and Rehaan, between hospital shifts,
Raising Oliver—our nephew, and the greatest of gifts.
Up near the Black Hills, Mike works the B1,
And joined us at Rushmore, a trip filled with fun!
Dorothy and Steve made the move to the prairie,
Valkommen to Lindsborg, home of the lingonberry!
Teri and Kevin, grandparents at last!
Hanging with Oliver and having a blast.
S’more cousin dinners and a big Sellers wedding,
Fun destinations, to which we’ve been heading.
Spring break skiing, with friends in the mountains,
Staycations right here, in the City of Fountains.
Manhattan to tailgate and cheer on the cats,
Last trip to Greeley, and their shop full of hats.
We hiked up a peak near Golden Cate Canyon,
The two of us, along with our fluffy companion.
Three-hundred-sixty-five days, that’s a wrap!
But good gracious, that time? It flew by in a snap.
Credit to you, each and every loved one,
Time really does fly, when you’re having fun!
We hope your year was as good, if not better,
And thank you for tuning in to our annual letter.
Lots of love and a very merry Christmas!
